Earlier this month, we welcomed back a lovely couple who had first stayed at Johnsfort in October 2024. They returned for another five-day farm stay, and while the accommodation was the same, the experience was completely new.
That’s one of the joys of Johnsfort: no two visits are ever the same.
For their second trip, Richard took them on a brand new route, exploring what our beautiful country has to offer.
We were thrilled to have them back.

Warm Welcome back to Johnsfort
There’s something special about seeing familiar faces return through the gate. It reminds us why we do what we do, creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.
We designed our Five Day Farm Stay and Tour to be more than a sightseeing trip. It’s about comfort, connection, and discovering Ireland the Irish way, with the guidance of someone who knows the land and its stories.
Five Days, Five Different Journeys
Each day brought a brand new adventure, with Richard leading the way:
- Slieve League Cliffs (Donegal):
Towering cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, one of Ireland’s most dramatic coastal landscapes.

- Glendalough (Wicklow):
A monastic valley with ancient ruins, glacial lakes, and peaceful woodland walks.

- Kylemore Abbey & Connemara (Galway):
Striking gothic architecture set against a wild, untamed landscape of lakes and hills.

- Clonmacnoise & Clara Bog (Offaly):
A day of heritage and nature, from early Christian ruins to one of Europe’s last raised bogs.

- Murlough Beach & Carlingford Lough (Louth):
Sweeping coastal views, sandy shores, and a glimpse across to the Mourne Mountains.

Until Next Time
There’s no better compliment than someone choosing to return. It tells us we’re doing something right, not just with the place, but with the people.
We’re grateful to have shared another memorable week with this pair, and we hope it won’t be the last time we see them walking through our gates.
